The Wednesday Crew is a student-based organization located in [[Springfield, VA]]. Founded by students of [[West Springfield High School]], the group's main goal is to combat [[stereotyping]] and bring teens together from different social groups. They occupy most of their time socializing at local fast food restaurants, such as [[McDonald's]], [[Subway]], and [[Popeyes]]. They also enjoy playing video games, such as [[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]] for the [[Nintendo Wii]], and setting up tournaments of soda pong. All activities are organized solely by the students, with the idea that anyone can join in and have fun, regardless of gender, race, socio-economic status, or high school [[cliques]]. The name was given to the group after its first couple meetings, which all coincidentally happened on Wednesday afternoons. The name was also chosen because it has no deep meaning and does not have to be defined, which coincides with the group's idea of tolerance and anti-stereotyping.
